What is Nooey?

Nooey is a nourishing (and sinfully tasty) high-protein, artisanal pasta noodle. Ticking all the boxes - keto-friendly, vegan-friendly and low-carb - these noods will soon become your new favourite plant-based pantry staple… trust us.

Containing a healthy dose of omega-3, they’re also an excellent source of protein and prebiotic fibre. Delightfully free from GMO, Dairy, Soy and Egg too! Approved by your mum and belly alike. Win-win!

How is Nooey different?

Favouring premium, local Australian ingredients, Nooey’s definitely dialled up the oh-so-moreish vibes. Aside from the taste and mouthfeel factor, they’re also nutritiously healthy AF - zero artificial colours, flavours, additives, or preservatives. They don’t contain Konjac or almonds either.

Oh, and did we mention that Nooey’s the only pasta noodle enriched with omega-3 and micronutrients & antioxidants and prebiotic fibre for the extra goodness? Yeah… high-fives all around! 

A serving of Fettunooey (2 nests) has an equivalent potassium of 1/3 of a large avocado! We all know how important to increase your potassium in our modern diet. Not to mention, and we have 30mg of calcium per serve.

Is Nooey keto-friendly?

Yassssss! Created by a ketogenic dieter for fellow low-carb lovers, Nooey is 100% keto-friendly.

Is Nooey suitable for vegans?

Yep, they sure are! Always thinking of our vegan friends and, thanks to our wonderful team of food scientists, your Nooey are vegan-approved. Phew… and YAY! And and excellent source of plant-based protein at a whopping 21.8g/serve, if you require an alternative protein source to Soy. Our Fetunooey has 20% more protein than Soy. 

Is Nooey suitable for Diabetics?

Yup! We’re proud to say that we have many of our core Nooey fans who have Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes.

Is Nooey plant-based?

What’s Nooey’s shelf life?

With our slow dehydration method, Nooey has an amazing shelf life of 6 months. You’ll also find the Best Before date on the bottom of your 200g Nooey box.

How and where should I store Nooey?

Once opened, please store your Nooey in an airtight container in a cool and dry space for maximum freshness. You may also store it in the freezer (or fridge) to prolong its freshness and lifespan, especially when the weather is humid, hot or rainy. Please store on the top section of your freezer to avoid crushing them. You may cook your Nooey normally once taken out of the freezer. You won't need to defrost them.

Are there any preservatives in Nooey?

Nooey is a clean label product that is free from artificial preservatives.

How many grams per serving are Nooey nests?

50 grams / 2 ounces per serving or two nests.

Where is Nooey made?

Your Nooey is sustainably made in Victoria, Australia, with 95% being homegrown ingredients. We’re doing every bit we can to support our quality local growers and communities.

Is Nooey gluten-free?

Currently, Nooey’s moreish elasticity comes from wheat protein (gluten).

Our original intention with Nooey was to provide a low-carb, nutritious alternative to traditional pasta/noodles, without sacrificing the taste factor. Unfortunately, we don’t have the technology to create an option that is free of dairy, konjac, soy, low carb, AND gluten-free, all at the same time… yet. 

But don’t worry - please know that our team is still working hard to create a gluten-free alternative. So, be sure to stay tuned for *fingers crossed* exciting updates in the future. We appreciate your patience. 

Does Nooey have the same texture as pasta?

It’s as close as it gets, according to our Nooey fan club! Smooth, thin, slippery and oh-so-moreish.

What type of oil do you use?

Proudly partnering with Australia’s best farmers and growers, we’re here for the long spaghetti-twirlin’ haul. Thanks to our wonderful suppliers, your Nooey is made using one of the healthiest fats on earth, a premium award-winning cold press natural Extra Virgin Olive Oil from the Limestone Coast of South Australia.

How many carbs per serving?

Perfect for our Keto friends, Fettunooey only contains 5.7g carbs per serving. For our American friends, 5.7g carbs in Australia means 5.7g NET carbs. Our Lasagnooey only contains 2.3g of carbs per serving.

Is Nooey Low GI?

Keeping you satiated for longer, Nooey is low in Glycemic Index and does not spike your blood glucose level.

What are the ingredients?

The main ingredients boosting Nooey's nutritional magic are lupin, wheat protein (gluten), vegetable fibre, extra virgin olive oil, Himalayan pink salt, and flaxseed.

All of which are GMO-free and proudly made with 95% Australian ingredients.

What’s the best cooking time?

Fettunooey only needs 2-3 minutes of cooking time to achieve that ‘al dente’ texture. Salting is optional. If you like it softer (4-5 minutes), or continue boiling until you get to your desired texture.

If you’re planning to double cook your Nooey, half the initial cooking time to 1-1.5 minutes before cooking it with the sauce in the pan to maintain its optimal texture. For added slurpiness, turn off the stove and leave your Nooey soaking for an extra 1-2 minutes in the cooking water. Add some of the Nooey cooking water to your sauce concoction for a luscious, creamy finish.

What is the allergen status of lupin?

Lupin is a type of legume and may cause an allergic reaction to those who have allergies to peanuts.

What is prebiotic fibre?

Prebiotics are fibres that aren't digestible by your body but can help healthy, good bacteria to flourish in your gut. Happy gut, happy days!

Is prebiotic fibre the same as probiotics?

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria found in certain foods or supplements. Prebiotics are a type of fibre that feeds the friendly bacteria in your digestive system.

How much fibre should I consume each day?

We should be consuming at least 25 - 30g each day. A standard serve of Fettunooey contains 10.4g of dietary fibre.

Does the lupin make Nooey taste bitter?

Nope! Our specially selected Australian sweet white lupin leaves no bitter aftertaste.

Does Nooey offer free shipping?

If you join the Nooey Slurp Squad reward, you can accumulate Slurps (AKA points) to redeem the 'free shipping' reward. Yes, Australia wide shipping on orders over $80 and our International shipping is charged at domestic rates which is approximately 50% off. 

Is there a Nooey loyalty/referral program?

We used to have this. However, now we've replaced it to a perpetual reward program. Each time you purchased Nooey, you'll be given a referral code at checkout which you can share with your friends and family. Once they made an order via our online store, you'll get a discount code which you can use on your next order. You'll also get a reward after you've written a review on our online store. 

Do you sell internationally?

Yes! You can purchase Nooey via our online shop and have it delivered right to your door. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

How long until I receive my shipment?

Shipment within Australia generally takes about 1-14 days. International standard shipment takes about 2-4 weeks.

Is the packaging biodegradable?

Yes, they are certified home compostable within AUS and EU.

Is Nooey made with sustainability in mind?

100% pro-planet, Nooey uses less water and carbon than animal products. To combat growing global issues around food packaging waste that ends up as landfill, we also use an interior film that is biodegradable (home compostable), and an exterior carton box that is completely recyclable. The inks we use on our packaging is biodegradable and won't end up in the landfill. Pretty nifty hey?

How do Monthly Nooey Fix / subscriptions work?

In line with our ethos of ‘no wastage’, Nooey is manufactured in limited monthly production runs. Saving you money and effort (and #nofomo), a monthly subscription guarantees that you’ll always have Nooey stocked up in your pantry and save up to 10%.

With monthly prepaid options available, simply select the quantity that best suits you and your cravings! You can choose to cancel your subscription at any time after 3 months but please be mindful that you’ll also lose your VIP spot and will be placed on a waiting list should you wish to re-subscribe.
